In other news, there are two NYC readings next week, at which you’re welcome, free of charge. There’s also a beautiful Jessold event this thursday in Philadelphia at the Forum Theater, St Joseph’s University – see wesleystace.com/events

Those NYC Jessold events:

23rd February:

Wesley Stace and Alex Ross, introduced by Patrick McGrath

Wednesday, February 23, 2011, 7:30 pm

Faculty Dining Room, Hunter College, West Building, 8th floor

RSVP to spevents@hunter.cuny.edu or 212-772-4007

24th February:

The New Salon: Writers in Conversation

Author/Presenter: Wesley Stace (with Darin Strauss)

Wesley Stace releases his latest novel, “Charles Jessold, Considered as a Murderer,” from Picador in February 2011. Stace is also known by his musical stage name, John Wesley Harding. In conversation with Darin Strauss.

Location: Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House, 58 West 10th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues

The latter gig, though it doesn’t say, will also feature the sensational “Jessold” music written by Daniel Felsenfeld. It will be performed by The Jessold Consort (harpsichord, flute, cello and soprano) and incorporate some readings by me.

Lastly, there is a video of me playing Little Musgrave from Soundcheck, WNYC last friday, just before the Cabinet. Members of The Jessold Consort can be seen being very quiet behind me. At the time, I felt I’d probably never play this better, so I haven’t been able to watch it at all.

Best wishes to all
